The Warisan Persuratan Negara, or National Documentary Heritage special stamp issue showcases prominent historical artifacts of Malaysia’s documentary heritage, such as Hikayat Hang Tuah (60sen), Batu Bersurat Terengganu (Inscribed Stone of Terengganu, 90sen), Surat-surat Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah (Correspondence of the late Sultan of Kedah, RM1.30) and Sulalatus Salatin (The Malay Annals, First Day Cover).

These Malay manuscripts record the story and history of the rise and fall and glory of our nation, and have been recognised by the world and inscribed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register in 2001 and 2009.
