KUALA LUMPUR, 22 SEPTEMBER 2020 – The “Iconic Buildings of Putrajaya” stamp series will be available for purchase starting from 22 September 2020 via Pos Malaysia’s online store at and all post offices nationwide.

The stamp series was officially launchedby Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on 28 August 2020, in conjunction with Putrajaya’s 25th anniversary. Founded in 1995, Putrajaya was designated as Malaysia’s federal administrative centre and home to iconic buildings which are famous for their unique designs.

This series offers five (5) stamp designs that will appeal to collectors, highlighting iconic buildings in Putrajaya such as the Perdana Putra, Palace of Justice, Masjid Tuanku Mizal Zainal Abidin (Masjid Besi), Perbadanan Putrajaya Complex and Seri Gemilang Bridge.

Pos Malaysia’s Group Head of Marketing, Schrene Goh said, “Putrajaya is the legacy and symbol of the nationand its magnificence has captured global attention, as the administrative capital showcases many architectural wonders and majestic buildings inspired by Islamic, European and traditional Malay architecture.”

“This has inspired the collaboration between Pos Malaysia and Perbadanan Putrajaya to create the Iconic Buildings of Putrajaya special stamp series, in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of Putrajaya and to share beauty of these architectural gems with stamp collectors from all over the world.”

Pos Malaysia has produced 250,000 pieces for each stamp design, carrying a denomination of RM1.30 each. Other philatelic products such as the First Day Cover (FDC) and folder are priced at 50sen and RM6 each. Stamp collectors may obtainthe whole set at a reasonable price of RM26.

The cancellation mark for the series features the outline of Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya with aspecial date of 29 August 2020, the launch date of Putrajaya 25 years ago (29 August 1995).
