Pos Malaysia, BizApp join hands to empower SME businesses

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 September 2022 – Pos Malaysia Berhad (“Pos Malaysia”) and BizApp Ventures Sdn Bhd (“BizApp”) today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) to jointly collaborate in empowering Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (“SME”).


Leveraging on each other’s strength, the MOU is aimed at empowering Malaysia’s SMEs to grow and grow fast, especially those located in rural and under-served areas.


Understanding that SMEs form the backbone of Malaysia’s economy, both Pos Malaysia and BizApp believe it is not only imperative to support the economic growth of this sector but is increasingly important to equip this community with the right tools to scale up and reach bigger markets.


Through digital transformation and enablement, SMEs will be able to reach a wider audience and be more agile to adapt to the changing needs of their customers.

BizApp Ventures Sdn Bhd’s Chief Executive Officer, Mohd Taib Pardi said, “The BIZAPP application has successfully bridged the gap between rural entrepreneurs and fast-developing urban cities through digitisation methods. This was proven in 2021 until now, with sales and purchase transactions through BIZAPP application reaching RM1.9 billion. This success is due to the increase in delivery service efficiency, especially those provided by Pos Malaysia. This collaboration, we believe will further improve efficiency and will benefit all entrepreneurs who use the BIZAPP application.”


Pos Malaysia, as the national postal service provider with the most extensive last-mile reach delivering to over 10 million addresses across the country, will additionally provide training on how to grow and to leverage the power of logistics.

Meanwhile, BizApp, a social commerce platform that enables especially non-urban businesses to engage in e-commerce, will provide training to SMEs in terms of the adoption of order management system, and data and fulfilment management via its business management platform.


BizApp currently helps over 600,000 agents and handled a gross merchandise volume (“GMV”) of over RM1.27 billion in 2021.


The MoU exchange ceremony witnessed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (“MATRADE”) Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Abu Bakar Yusof was one of 14 MoUs changing hands today at the MIHAS 2022 Showcase, the World’s biggest Halal exhibition.
