Pos Malaysia is committed to supporting the Government`s national e-Invoice initiative. This initiative aligns with the mandate from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) or Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM), under Section 82C of the Income Tax Act 1967 (ITA 1967).
The e-Invoice serves as a digital representation of invoices, credit notes and debit notes, validated by LHDNM. Additionally, LHDNM has also introduced new e-invoice documents such as refund notes, consolidated e-invoices, and self-billed e-Invoices.
The scope of implementation for the issuance of e-Invoices will include sales and services provided to customers as follows:
- Business-to-Government (B2G)
- Business-to-Business (B2B)
- Business-to-Consumer (B2C), only where requested.
The e-Invoice initiative, as outlined by LHDNM, offers key benefits including enhanced business efficiency, reduced manual efforts and human errors, streamlined tax filing, and digitalised tax and financial reporting.

Pos Malaysia’s e-Invoice implementation
Further to our website notice on 30 July 2024, we are pleased to inform that Pos Malaysia will officially begin issuing e-Invoices to customers starting 1 February 2025, in accordance with Phase 1 of LHDNM’s implementation plan (for companies with annual turnover of more than RM100 million). We will also pilot run some of our systems from mid-January 2025 onwards
Introducing Pos Malaysia’s e-Invoice B2C Customer Portal
Pos Malaysia’s e-Invoice B2C Portal is open to all B2C customers starting 1 February 2025, for all products and services sold over the counter at our post offices, or online.
Customers must provide the required details via the B2C Customer Portal in order to receive an e-Invoice. Kindly click here to generate your e-Invoice.
