You can purchase Pos Laju Shield - Zurich Takaful at any selected Pos Laju or post office counter. You just need to fill out a simple form for us to capture your details, and create a profile for you on our database.

*For Pos Laju Prepaid product, customer needs to do posting via counter.

The insurance purchased for shipment posting is valid for one (1) year from date of purchase, and can be used until the balance in customer’s account is zero. After which, the customer will need to top up the takaful in order to cover subsequent postings sent through Pos Laju Centre or post office.

Zurich Takaful will send you an email on your transaction history, and the remaining balance of your Pos Laju Shield - Zurich Takaful after every purchase and usage over the counter within 24 hours of the transaction.

Alternatively, you can check your balance at the designated Pos Laju Centre or pos office (refer to A4).

If there is no balance in your account, the shipment sent will not be covered by Pos Laju Shield - Zurich Takaful.

You should receive a receipt or tax invoice as proof of purchase from Pos Laju Centre or post office. Zurich Takaful will subsequently send you an email, within 24 hours of your purchase to provide you with the Certificate Schedule, Tax invoice and details of your usage and balance.

To make a claim, you can visit Zurich Malaysia’s portal and fill out the claims registration form. Alternatively, you can send a notification via Pos Malaysia’s and Zurich Takaful’s customer service channels (refer to A19).

Pos Laju Shield - Zurich Takaful gives you benefits of RM7 per day in the event of delay for up to 5 days, where the delivery of your shipment exceeds 2 days from Pos Laju’s
standard delivery timeline.

Example :
a. If Pos Laju standard delivery is D+1, then compensation will only be paid for delay from 5th day onwards.
b. If Pos Laju standard delivery is D+3, then compensation will only be paid for delay from 7th day onwards.

You or a representative with written authorisation will need to provide supporting documents of proof of value (I.e. Invoice) within thirty (30) days of the date of drop off.

When sending shipments over Pos Laju Centre or pos office counter, please let the counter staff know that you would like to use Pos Laju Shield - Zurich Takaful. The counter staff will request for an ID from you in order to verify your coverage and check your balance.

If you have sufficient balance, the counter staff will tag your consignment note number to your ID and let Zurich Takaful know that you wish to secure those shipments.

You can purchase Pos Laju Shield - Zurich Takaful over Pos Laju Centre or post office counter. If you have made purchases before, you will only need to present your ID number for the counter staff to retrieve your details from our system.

We will obtain your payment details at point of claims notification, and will pay directly into your bank account provided via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT).

Yes, this is allowed. Please ensure that you attach an official validation letter from your company when you notify us of the claim.

Based on the coverage offered by Pos Laju Shield - Zurich Takaful, you will be able to make a claim for up to RM4,000 based on the contribution paid for the coverage. Please note that any claims must be supported by valid documentation, and is subject to further investigation from Pos Compensation Unit.

Yes, coverage against natural disasters are covered under Pos Laju Shield - Zurich Takaful (subject to Pos Malaysia and Zurich Takaful terms and conditions)

For Takaful protection, customer will not be bound by weight limit but it is advisable to follow the weight limit to avoid other complication during claims.

Any liquid that is either flammable, temperature controlled, packaged in glassware/glass bottles and any liquid cargo is not covered under Pos Laju Shield – Zurich Takaful.

1. Where balance is insufficient, the consignment notes which are scanned first, will be covered, until there is no balance left. Customers should enquire/check balance before acceptance to avoid consignments not being covered.
2. Customer will be informed of the consignments covered from the acceptance email that is sent to them within 24 hours of performing the transaction over the counter. From the email, the customer will be able to see which consignments are covered.
3. Customer can also visit the Pos Laju/post office counter the following working day to check which consignments were covered.
4. In the event of a claim - Pos Malaysia Compensation Unit will review before checking with Zurich. We will have the data of the consignment note(s) covered (as explained in 1 above)

i. For loss or failure of the delivery, the claim must be made within 30 days from the date of delivery.

ii. Damage goods must be reported within 48 hours after receipt of the goods.

iii. Claims must be made in writing or fill up PP1 Pos form and attached by a proof of delivery, copy of identity card, invoices, photos of damage and a police report (if necessary).

Claims will be paid to the sender's bank account.

Compensation subject to the contents of the insured. For this situation, the compensation to be received is RM1,500.

The Vehicle Shipping Service is a service offered by Pos Logistics Berhad (“Pos Logistics”) and Pos Malaysia as agent to transport passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and motorcycles from selected locations in Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah & Sarawak and vice versa

The shipping service is offered by Pos Logistics and Pos Malaysia Berhad as the appointed agent.

Both of these services are often used in transporting vehicles. However, our Vehicle Shipping Service shipment uses layered parking service (such as multi-storey car park) on the vessel. Vehicle Shipping Service vessel specialises in carrying vehicles only and not containers.

Vehicle Shipping Service shipment caters for motorcycles, passenger cars, Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPV), Four-Wheel Drive (4WD), Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) and vans.

Customers are advised to purchase their own insurance coverage to protect the vehicle from damage or loss. In the event of any damage or loss of the vehicle, Pos Logistics or Pos Malaysia will not be held liable and no compensation will be paid to the customer.

Yes. Pos Logistics does provide marine insurance upon request and additional fee will be imposed. Alternatively, customers may contact insurance companies that provide this service for details of the fee.

Port charges can only be determined when the vehicle arrives at the destination.

Customers are advised to remove all valuables and removable items in the vehicle during delivery. Pos Logistics or Pos Malaysia shall not be held liable for any damage or loss of the goods.

The Release Letter from bank is not required if your vehicle is no longer tied-up to bank loan

The sender must ensure the recipient brings the required documents during vehicle collection. The vehicles will not be released without the relevant documents.

Any changes must be notified by the customer to Pos Logistics within 3 working days before the ship departs. If the ship has departed, customer must bear the extra charges incurred (if any).

Pos Laju Box is a high quality carton box available in various sizes from XS to XL and able to support the weight of items from 1KG up to 30KG.

Pos Malaysia Box is available at all Post Offices, Pos Laju Centres, Pos Laju Kiosks, Pos Laju EziDrive-Thru, Pos Laju Go2U, Pos-On- Wheels (POW) and Pos Laju Authorised Agents.

- Purchase Pos Malaysia Box at any of Pos Malaysia outlet. Ensure the Pos Malaysia Box size suite for the item and able to support the weight of the item.

- Place the item in the Pos Malaysia Box and seal it tightly.
